Through Her Portrait
The press kit opens on her portrait inside a gold-traced arch. Scroll and the photograph dims into a doorway, the arch swells past the edges of the screen, and you walk through it.
T’Aura the Poet won Best Spiritual Poet at the 2024 National Spoken Word Awards and opened the ceremony. Bookers, festivals and galas need her bios, photos, video, credits and a way to book her. We made all of it a place.

A booker deciding between poets gets a folder: a bio, three photos, a list of credits, an email address. It tells them what she’s done. It doesn’t make them feel the room going quiet when she starts.
Her kit had to do both jobs: give a booker everything they need in seconds, and be the one they remember and send to the rest of the committee.
We treated the kit as one house in her colors, forest green and gold. You enter through the arch of her portrait and walk a hall of the rooms she’s held, each one a stop with its story. The hall ends in a screening room for her films. Beyond it are the rooms a booker needs: her bio, what she’s booked for, her photos and the booking desk.
Every surface is a material from that house: verde marble, limestone, gold tesserae, lime plaster, a starry vault drawn from her album’s palette. The type sits on the scene itself, with no cards or boxes laid over it.
The press kit opens on her portrait inside a gold-traced arch. Scroll and the photograph dims into a doorway, the arch swells past the edges of the screen, and you walk through it.
A hall of arches rendered in light: verde marble, limestone, a starry vault. Each credential is a gold-mosaic niche, and the walk stops square-on at each one, with that night’s story set on the wall beside it.
Where a room has film, a gilt frame holds a still from that night, and the frame is the way into the video. Where there’s no film, the niche carries relief art from its own story: a bronze sunburst, a wheat sheaf, the Chicago star.
The hall ends in a room with one screen set into an arch. The player sits exactly on that screen, her set is lettered on the wall, and pressing play dims the room around her.
Her bio is set on the hall’s painted night, its gold stars glinting as the cursor moves. The facts a booker scans for hang beside it as stars tied to their phrases. Short and full bios and an emcee intro copy in one click.
The five things she’s booked for are cut in gilt on a limestone panel. Point at one and a raking light sweeps across that line alone, with what it is and her record of it on the wall. Choose it and booking opens with it filled in.
Her press photos hang in gilt frames on lime plaster beside a proof sheet that crops any of them for a flyer, a post, a story or a banner, downloadable at the right size, with the originals and a full set one click away.
The inquiry form is lettered onto polished verde antico: what for, the night, the room, the audience size and the budget, with a live summary of what she’ll receive. It lands in her inbox.
